ADANI’S SRI LANKAN WIND POWER PROJECT: ON TRACK FOR 2024 COMPLETION Kanchana Wijesekara, Sri Lanka’s energy minister, said that the 500 MW renewable energy project proposed by the Adani Group in the country’s north and eastern regions would be concluded by December 2024. Adani Green Energy (AGEL) will establish the project, which will provide power to the island nation of India and export it there. Additionally, the Adani Group has pledged a $750 million initial investment to establish the wind farm.

Updating followers on the project’s development, Wijesekara said that the “Progress of the 500 MW Renewable Energy Project in Mannar & Pooneryn was discussed with Anil Sardana, MD & CEO of Adani Transmission Ltd & project management team.” “We reviewed the obstacles, the plan, and the timetable for the project’s completion and the pledge by Adani Green Energy to finish the project by December 2024,” Wijesekara said. Wijesekara also met with representatives from the Adani Group for the first assessment since February.
