  2. The Navi Mumbai International Airport which happens to be one of the most crucial airports to be under the Adani Group will begin domestic operations in May. The international flights will start operating from the airport in July. This airport will achieve full completion by 2036. The first phase has a 20 million passenger capacity. This capacity will ultimately rise to 900 million.

  3. The plans for this extensive airport development project involve raising INR 20,000 crore in the second half of FY26 for the next development phase. With this project, Adani Airlines will be able to establish itself as one of the major players in the country’s airport sector. The business group will also be able to take its airport business to new heights. Its revenue generation will increase. The congestion on the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport will also be reduced.

Adani Group’s Navi Mumbai International Airport To Raise INR 20,000 Crore: • The Navi Mumbai International Airport which is all set to run the second aviation hub of Mumbai has elaborate plans to raise INR 20,000 crore in the second half of FY26. This will be used for building the greenfield facilities for the next phase of the project. This phase is going to be operational by 2029. The first phase of the airport will be inaugurated on 17th April. It will begin domestic operations in May while international operations are expected to commence in July. • Once the airport achieves full completion in 2036, it will handle 90 million declared passengers annually. The passenger capacity will start at 20 million in the first phase. In a greenfield project like this one, the initial phase mostly demands higher costs. This is mainly because of the rehabilitation, development, and groundbreaking research works required to bring about various developments to the project.

  5. Various Steps Taken Up By The Adani Group To Speed Up The Operations Of The Project: • Adani Airlines combined the initial development of the first and second phases of the project into one. This was done in order to speed up the operations of the project. The Adani Group is also currently focused on developing the metro footings, automated people mover footings, and underground tunnel for terminal connectivity in Phase 1 and 2 of the project itself. This will ensure that future expansion works at the airport can be carried out without causing any disruption to the operations.
