IN THIS PROCESS, STEEL IS HEATED ABOVE ITS CRITICAL TEMPERATURE AND THEN IT IS COOLED SLOWLY. • 4 AS A RESULT, THE METAL BECOMES SOFTER AND MORE EASILY MACHINEABLE DUE TO THE FACT THAT THIS PROCESS PREVENTS INTERNAL STRESSES FROM OCCURRING
