The Golden West Humanitarian Foundation fulfills its mission guided by the core values of innovation, forethought, partnership, appropriateness, impact and affordability. Specialized EOD Training • Technology transfer • Training is made to suit customers needs • Follow up training and mentorship • Training and certification process is in accordance with the CEN EOD competency standards • Golden West EOD instructors are rated Master Level EOD/UN Level-4 Technicians with experiences in EOD operations and training with civilian, military and NGO agencies worldwide

Demolition Training and Sustainment Programs • Demolition training and operations tailored to meet customers needs • Specialized training with conventional explosives and binary explosives • Explosives training conducted with IMAS and CEN Standards • Follow-up Quality Assurance and Quality Control inspections • “Train the Trainers” Development Programs • Small caliber projectiles up to large aircraft bombs, including white phosphorous munition stockpile destruction programs

Cluster Munitions Destruction • Golden West has developed a unique and safe system for the destruction of stockpiled cluster munitions • Our system was used in Moldova under a NPA contract to destroy the Moldovans aircraft cluster munitions stockpiles who became the first country to destroy their stockpiles under the Convention on Cluster Munitions • A safe, quick and inexpensive method to destroy small to medium stockpiles of cluster munitions • Can be used with either aerial or projectile cluster munitions

  6. Design and Manufacture of Specialized Equipment • MSAB (Multiple Small Arms Burner) • PSAB (Portable Small Arms Burner) • MCS (Mobile Cutting System) • MCS SA/LW (Mobile Cutting System Small Arms/Light Weapons)

  7. Explosive Harvesting Program • Established in March 2005 in Kampong Chhnang, Cambodia in partnership with the Cambodian Mine Action Center (CMAC) and sponsored by the US DoD NVESD and the US DoS/WRA • Recover and recycle explosives from excess munition stockpiles for humanitarian demining organizations for the purpose of demining and the destruction of munition stockpiles • With 2 ½ years of research and development, the EHP began the full production stage on June 2007 and since then, the EHP has: • Recovered over 18,900 kg of explosives • Recycled over 47,000 kg of scrap metal • Produced over 188,000 demolition charges

  8. Custom Made Training Aids • Golden West produces custom made inerted, free from explosives (FFE) training aids made from excess munitions stocks • Used to train EOD and demining personnel • An affordable alternative to custom made plastic and rubber training aids

Ordnance Remediation • Golden West provides training and operations for ordnance remediation of weapons cache and dump sites • Conducts training and clearance operations for Battlefield Area Clearances (BAC) under IMAS standards • Provides training in the use and care of detection systems and equipment

Detection Technology • Detection arrays customized for tasks • Battlefield Area Clearance (BAC) • Road Clearance (mines) • Vehicle mounted PEM/DGPS/GIS Systems • Hand carried portable detectors for projectiles ≈50cm • Large loop systems • PEM/DGPS/GIS • Rivers (underwater) with boat towed PEM/DGPS/Sonar/GIS System • Fresh shallow water: Mk82 bomb ≤ 10 meters deep • Projectiles up to 3-5 meters deep
