  1. 3 of the Best Dessert Wines

  2. Dessert wines are sweet wines typically served with dessert. • a dessert wine is considered to be any sweet wine drunk with a meal

  3. Made from red and white grapes, these wines are much sweeter, and range in alcohol content from lower to higher than traditional table wines. This is due to various styles of winemaking, including interrupting the fermentation process in order to preserve residual sugars, utilizing frozen or noble rot-infected grapes, leaving fruit on the vine for prolonged periods, or drying picked grapes to an almost raisened state prior to fermentation.

  4. Just as the methods of production vary, so do the styles of dessert wine. Common types include fortified wines, sparkling wines, fortified wines, and ice wines. The range of these dessert wines is vast and they are crafted all around the world using a variety of grapes. Finding the perfect bottle can be tough, especially if you’re partial to drier styles. Ahead we’ve gathered ten of our favorites to enjoy.

  5. The Pinot Project Rose Juicy white peach and fresh-picked raspberry. Finishes with a bright, zippy burst of acidity. The Pinot Noir grapes for our Rosé come from the village of Vias, in the South of France, where twenty-plus-year-old vines are planted to rocky, volcanic soils. Upon harvest, the grapes are gently pressed, and the juice remains on the skins just long enough to give the wine a pale pink hue. The Rosé is vinified in stainless steel to preserve its mineral core and juicy freshness.

  6. Black Girl Magic Rose This sophisticated dry rosé has aromas of raspberry and orange blossom with delightful acidity and a mouthwatering fresh stone fruit and citrus palate. A gorgeous, bright and fresh wine that pairs perfectly with chocolate covered strawberries, grilled fish dishes and your holiday feast.

  7. Chateau D'Esclans Whispering Angel AROMA: A beautifully pale pink, which is pleasing to the eye and draws one in. PALATE: Fresh red berry fruit characteristics with floral notes. Ripe and fleshy feel on the palate. FINISH: Great concentration. Smooth and round finish. No astringent aftertaste.
