  9. Chemicalstructure of cephalosporins • Derived from 7-aminocephalosporanic acid. • They suffer the “attack” of bacteria at their beta-lactam ring.

  11. 1st Generationcephalosporins: antibacterialcoverage Active mainly against Gram positive cocci. Less active against Gram negative.
