  3. John F. Kennedy Abbi John F. Kennedy is famous because he was the Thirty-Fifth president of the United States. John F. Kennedy was born in Brookline , Massachusetts on May 29,1917. When John F. Kennedy got shot on November 22, 1963, everybody was sad. John F. Kennedy was a rich kid. John F. Kennedy died because he got shot and killed by Lee Harvey Oswald. In 1936 Dr. Seuss wrote a book called And To Think that I Saw it on Mulberry Street on a ship for the first time. He wrote Green Eggs and Ham with only fifty different words. Abe had to plow the fields, carry water, chop wood, and plant and harvest corn. Abe left home when he was 21 years old and moved to New Salem, Illinois. Richard went to Whittier College where he played football, appeared in school plays and musicals. Richard joined the Navy. He became an operations officer. He became a lieutenant commander in the Navy during World War II. Richard was elected the 37th president of the United States in 1968. He was one of the most popular presidents of the 20th century. When Ester’s husband died she decided to move to Illinois. She told her friends “I’ll claim the land for Artemus.” When she was eleven her mother died, and for the first time she saw her dad cry. This helped her become a strong woman. She was nineteen when she opened up a hat store.
