  2. What is it? • Vinyl is a man made compound containing ethylene and chlorine • Vinyl heat transfer is placing vinyl on an object such as a T shirt by heating it up with a heat press or a iron

  3. Properties of the decal • The first layer consists of a paper or a film face-stock ( the printing is done on the upper side of the face-stock) • On the bottom of the face-stock is an adhesive layer • A silicone or release coating is on the upper side of the backing material • Lastly there’s a paper or film liner for the bottom layer of the decal

  4. How to • Cut out design • Set heat press for 350 degrees • Place T-Shirt front side up on the opened heat press • Put the vinyl on the T-Shirt , backing side up and shut the heat press • Leave the heat press shut for about 10 seconds • Shortly after you can remove the backing and the T-Shirt is done

  5. Equipment used • Vinyl • Vinyl cutter • Heat press
