Launch of EQUAL Programme: Insights from National Thematic Networks in the Netherlands

The National Thematic Networks (NTN) in the Netherlands convened on April 14-15, 2005, to initiate the EQUAL programme, aimed at promoting social inclusion through innovative practices. The meeting focused on establishing the mandate, structure, and membership of the networks. Key activities included discussions on mainstreaming strategies and cross-thematic issues, such as gender equality, integration, entrepreneurship, adaptability, and employability. The gathering provided a platform for stakeholders to share lessons learned and to stimulate projects that effectively present results. The NTN's collaborative efforts will drive forward the innovative proposals in the programme’s second round.
