  2. What do you know? • What types of foods do you think are the healthiest? • How much physical activity do you think you need? • How much sleep do you think you need?

  3. Why is your health important? • If you practice healthy habits, it can mean: • Better Grades • More Energy • Sick Less • Happier

  4. Just like a new car… • Your body needs fuel and maintenance. • What happens when a car runs out of gas? • What happens if you don’t change a flat tire? • What happens if the car sits for too long?

  5. Strive to be an MVP! • Remember these three letters to help stay like a shiny, new car! • Move and stay active • Value healthy eating • Practice healthy habits

  6. How do we Move and Stay Active? • SedentaryPhysical Activity • ModeratePhysical Activity • Vigorous Physical Activity

  7. Move more Vigorously

  15. How do we Practice Healthy Habits? • Eat Breakfast • More Sleep • Good Hygiene • Drug free

  16. Practice being a good role model • Set an example for younger students • Responsibility, Respect, Trustworthiness, Caring, Fairness, and Integrity. • Report bullying if you see it. • Go green and recycle! • Talk to your parents about what you’ve learned today.

  19. How do we do that? • Choose to eat healthy every day. • Choose to be active every day. • Ask your parents for more GO foods. • Take the stairs instead of an escalator. • Limit TV or video games. • Drink more water. • Go to bed early. • Set goals for yourself.
