AACE’s project Coal Mining on Block IV • Has a measured and indicated reserve of 2.4 billion tonnes. • Area covered 82.5km2 • Initial production rate 6 million tonnes per annum increasing to 18 mtpa in 15 years Power Station • 1,100 MW increasing to 3,000 MW in 15 years Estimated total project cost • $US 3 billion

  10. Mining equipment Main mining equipment • Bucket wheel excavators. • 3 BWE’s are required for the removal of overburden and 1 for the mining operation. • Total capital cost of the mining operation - $US1 billion est.

  11. Power generating equipment Main power generating equipment • Steam turbines, configuration 3 x 370MW or 2 x 650MW • Boilers • Water towers • Total capital cost for the power station - $US 2 billion est.
