  1. What are the different types of Laboratory Fume Hoods? Aakar Scientific – Customized Lab Solutions

  2. Laboratory Fume Hoodare ventilated enclosures in which gases vapors and fumes are contained. Since fume hoods handle hazardous chemicals, they work on negative pressure ie. Air is drawn away from the worker and is thrown in the atmosphere through ducting. Fume hood functions on the very basic principle of containment. They are basically designed for the safety of the personnel working within the lab by maintaining negative pressure inside the hood compared to that within the lab. Aakar Scientific's laboratory fume hood performs effectively and safely at the face velocity of 100 fpm (or 0.5mtr/sec) at defined sash opening. www.aakarscientific.com

  4. Bench Mounted Fume Hood This is a proven model operated on Constant Volume principle. In this fume hood model, majority air enters through the opening of sash. Exhaust volume remains constant. This is very popular and economical model used in general low hazard applications. www.aakarscientific.com

  5. Walk-in Type Fume Hood Walk-in type of Laboratory Fume Hoods are designed to work with the taller assemblies like 20Ltr, 50Ltr etc. where scientist walks-in to perform bigger assembly applications. The sash in this model is operated horizontally. www.aakarscientific.com

  6. Auxiliary Air Inlet This fume hood model is the most preferred in the Air-conditioned Lab. This model permits atmospheric air to create an air curtain in front of the sash opening which will prevent conditioned air to be exhausted to much extent. Thus it economizes the energy consumption. www.aakarscientific.com
