Akhilesh Srivastava Addressed Over 300 Delegates as the Key Speaker in a Conference in Gujarat Accidents on highways in India and even on roads occur within a blink of an eye and shatter the hopes in lives of many. The rate of road accidents and disasters in India is seamlessly spiking up the charts even after several implemented strategies and interventions made by the Government. Addressing these issues, the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister, Government of India, Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB), Government of India, National Disaster Management Authority, Government of India, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and Government of Gujarat as the State Partner organised an important Conference on Chemical and Industrial Disaster Management (CIDM). The conference was held at the Convention Hall at Hyatt Regency in Ahmedabad, Gujarat from March 14th – March 16th, 2018. If the reports are to be considered, the honourable Chief Minister of Gujarat, Mr Vijay Rupani inaugurated the conference. Distinguished government officials, both national and international took part in the event to discuss the roles regarding the global safety implementing better mitigation strategies for the accidents and disasters that are common but can most likely be averted. Mr Akhilesh Srivastava, CGM (IT and Highway Operations) was the keynote speaker at this conference and addressed some of the renowned officials concerning the importance of the emergency services for the aversion of disasters on highways of India. The primary objective of the event was to discuss the various steps concerning the emergency planning for accidents, both on and off-site and isolated storage. It also provided with an amazing platform for both the national and international companies to share knowledge and stories and the best practices that can be administered to decrease the chances of accidents on the highways of India, on the production site and during the transportation of several of the hazardous chemical, wastes, and hydrocarbons. Apart from the same, there have been several technical sessions based on engineering and biomedical emergencies. More than 300 delegates attended the event and Mr Akhilesh Srivastava discussed his thoughts and opinions regarding the possible steps that could be taken to avert the worst case scenarios in situations of emergency. #AkhileshSrivastava #CIDM #ITExpertinGovernmentofIndia
