  1. The Unusual Uses of a Heat Pump Heat pumps are a well-known technology which has been widely used for heating as well as for cooling. However, the heat pumps are the mechanical devices that are used to transfer heat by extracting low-grade heat from any source and then upgrading that heat to deliver a high temperature. The primary function of heat pumps is to provide heating whereas the reverse cycle heat pumps are used to provide both heating and cooling. And, as we told heat pumps are used in recovering waste heat by raising its temperature to a useful level, this makes it significantly potential for saving energy. The uses of heat pumps Ireland can be classified under two categories •Residential Uses •Industrial Uses Residential Uses – Residential uses have been always found to be a successful location to implement the popular application of heat pumps especially where a large variety of systems exist. However, it depends in the part on:

  2. 1) Whether the heat pumps are intended for both heating and cooling purpose or only for heating purpose. 2) And, on the nature of the low/medium temperature heat source which is for distributing heat to the building. However, residential uses are common, but did you know the heat pumps also have industrial applications as well. And heat pumps are used in the following industries. Industrial Uses – 1.Paper industry – In the paper industry at the time of production, paper making emits CO2 which can result in high carbon emission. Therefore, heat pumps are used in paper industry to help you getting minimum carbon emission while letting you achieve sustainability. So, heat pumps are used to help in the concentration of black liquor, water heating, flash-steam recovery, and product drying in the pulp/paper/lumber manufacturing industry. 2.Food and beverages industry – Heat pumps in the food industry are used to save the costs which are generally spent on gas. Hence, in the food and beverage industry, heat pumps help in the process of beer brewing as well as to concentrate the waste beer. However, it doesn’t help only to concentrate waste beer but it also helps in concentrating the liquid products in the dairy industry. Hence, the heat pumps in the food and beverage industry are most important because they’re not only a source of cost-saving but they are also an environment-friendly resource. 3.Chemical industry . In the manufacturing of chemical salts, heat pumps work as a savior in the process of concentrating salt solutions. In fact, heat pumps are also useful in the treatment of the effluent process. However, the rotation heat pumps are more advantageous and efficient in the production process in the chemical industry especially the one which requires hot water with cold water being used as a source.

  3. This is because the conventional heat pumps can’t help the chemical industries achieve this. Therefore, instead of generating heat and cold separately, in this industry a rotation heat pump is used. Apart from the above mentioned industries, the heat pumps are used in the following industries as well; ➢Automotive and mechanical industry, ➢Textile industry, ➢Metal industry, ➢Wood Industry etc. If you’re looking for best heat pumps in Ireland, explore our range of heat pumps, we have got you covered with every kind of heat pump as per your heat pump application needs.
