  1. Kumbh mela at Vrindavan It is said that not just Prayag but all tirthas visit Vrindavan before the Kumbh mela at Haridwar. This year it is a matter of great blessing that Kumbh in Vrindavan is also taking part in this gathering in great fervor. It is believed that a few drops of Kumbh fell at four places- Allahabad, Haridwar, Ujjain and Nashik. Therefore, the Kumbh Mela is organized alternately at these 4 places. The Puranas also tell another story about Garudadeva, the eternal carrier of Lord Vishnu. Garudeva knew that Lord Krishna would need a tree to jump into the rivers of Yamuna in order to subdue Kaliya in the future. So he put a few drops of nectar on a Kadamba tree on the banks of river Yamuna kumbh in vrindavan to preserve it. So at the time of Lord Krishna's submission to Kaliya, even though all the trees on the banks of the Yamuna had died due to the poisonous smoke of the serpent, the tree nourished by the nectar remained alive. This tree is still alive and devotees can see it at Kaliya Ghat in Vrindavan. Thus the divine nectar had fallen in the holy land of Vrindavan also.
