Certified Vibration Analyst - Vibe FX

A vibration analyst is someone who observes a machine and diagnoses machine failure in different industrial, manufacturing, and production settings. A vibration analyst has the responsibility to include monitoring and checking equipment with the use of equipment like vibration analyzers to analyze the vibration of the equipment, troubleshooting mechanical equipment to check for problems, checking the machine sensors, and writing and producing detailed reports about the findings made.

  1. Certified Vibration Analyst - Vibe FX Vibration Analysis can be defined as the use of a vibration sensor to measure the movement or vibration (motion) of a point on a machine. The mechanical motion is transformed into electrical energy in the form of an electrical voltage generated when a piezoelectric crystal is compressed inside the sensor(s). The electrical signal that has been generated is sent to the vibration analyzer equipment connected to it. An industrial accelerator meter is the most commonly used vibration sensor nowadays. A vibration analyst must be certified as certification is one of the highest standard yardsticks that is used to measure the competence, knowledge, level of qualification, and efficiency of the vibration analyst. Without certification, the analyst is not recognized as a professional. Vibration analysis is a highly sought after a competitive job so to stand out as a professional, you must be certified. Accreditation bodies like ANAB (full meaning: ANSI National Accreditation Board) implements the national and international standards for customer satisfaction for certification in vibration analysis. What does a certified vibration analyst do?

  2. Monitor the equipment in the company with vibration analyzers. • Troubleshoot the mechanical equipment. • Check the machine sensors. • State testing machine steady. • Perform design modifications • Write a detailed report. Common Faults you can detect through Vibration Analysis These are the different and common faults you can detect during the analysis of vibration data when using the frequency spectra: • Looseness • Bearing Faults • Imbalance • Belt problems • Synchronicity of machine • The Machine running speed • Thefrequency range of peaks occurring in the spectra • The presence or absence of peaks • Misalignment Although vibration analysis may take hours to correctly diagnose the problem, it can lengthen the life span of your motor and equipment once it is detected and solved.
