  1. Types of Mosquito Borne Diseases: Just as the Monsoon was heartily welcomed to pacify the heat waves, it became the cause of mushrooming mosquito breeding grounds in the national capital- New Delhi. The city was engulfed with mosquito-borne diseases like Malaria, Chikungunya and Dengue. One of the reports stated that more than 2,600 cases of Chikingunya virus have been reported from Delhi alone, from the start of 2016 until September 17, 2016. Clasped in the gnaws of deadly mosquitoes, Delhi mourned the deaths of many with no proper facilities to accommodate the victims in the hospitals. Not just Delhi, many other metro cities were equally affected by the buzzing beats. It was found out that climate change, rapid urbanization and lack of sanitary waste management system led to such a grave situation in the country. As per one of the researches, mosquito-borne diseases are prevalent in more than 100, infecting 300-500 million people and causing around 1 million deaths every year.

  2. Malaria, the life-threatening disease is too a pestering problem in the country and the deaths due to it has been a matter of constant dispute between the government and global development agencies. Malaria in India is more found in tribal, hilly and inaccessible areas. For this very reason, on February 11, 2016, India launched an ambitious programme to eliminate malaria by 2017. The World Health Organisations (WHO) came up with an alarming report that India accounts for 75% of all malaria cases in South-East Asia. Zika Virus, West Nile Virus, St. Louis Encephalitis are other types of mosquito-borne diseases. Zika was first identified in Uganda in 1947 and is transmitted by the Aedes mosquitoes, the same kind of mosquito responsible for Dengue, Chikungunya and yellow fewer. Zika virus is found in blood, semen, urine and saliva of the person. Also, if the pregnant mother is infected with Zika, it can pass on the fetus. Zika has badly hit the Americas and the Carribean, with Singapore and Malayasia also being the victims. Veltosa offers Dynatrap - the eco-friendly and the electric mosquito killer is a bliss indeed.
