The standard is applied to companies' quality management systems to determine the degree to which these systems satisfy a given set of established criteria and standard. A firm staying in business has some type of system to keep afloat. The question here is whether or not the system is regularly applied & whether or not the system is robust enough to meet the established requirements of ISO 9001 Standard.

A firm pursuing certification to ISO 9001 Standard need to demonstrate, that its processes affecting quality are systemically managed and improved. QMS standard require a system assurance and the level of quality, meaning that the processes involved are defined and operation of these processes is controlled to a suitable degree to assure the quality.

6. When a company begins the implementation proceedings, the first step is to identify all requirements and determine how they apply to the business. Next quality products will need to be established and a plan for implementing them into the business will be required. Policy documentation will need to be created to show how the requirements are being satisfied. • Upon completing the policies and procedures, the company is required to send the updated policies out company wide. Once the employees receive the updated policies the management teams can monitor how the changes are doing. The monitoring process will effectively assist in the customization of the policies and procedures and allow for documentation to be created as well. ISO 9001 Standard needs a system of processes to be explained, through with each client order consistently flows, thus assist consistency of processing, thereby assist consistency in resulting product or service offerings. This results in consistently satisfied customers-which of course are good for business.

8. Why ISO 9001 Certification is so important for an or organization • Reviewing the final changes and corrections made to the system is another essential part to verifying the new processes work. To accurately verify the procedure, constant monitoring is required to make sure the new procedures are effective and there are no additional problems. When everything is running smoothly an internal audit is performed, during the audit process the procedure is monitored and made sure that the employees are working with it at all times. When the inner audit has been completed and everything is satisfactory, an external audit is next.

10. Certification to ISO 9001 • The external audit will review active documentation and plans for updates and other changes that are going to be made to the system. Also the audit is performed by an accredited body in order to ensure the process is working correctly. In addition to the review of the process the manuals and procedures are also evaluated. When the audit has been completed and the firm receives a passing grade they are granted their ISO standard 9001 certification.
