  2. You, Inc. History & Mission You, Inc. was designed and implemented after almost 15 years of research on this topic and similar ones. Research shows how one is perceived and how that perception could advance or hinder one’s own inability to become successful in life. In society, advanced degrees are more commonly necessary for good opportunities of employment. The reality of the matter is how comfortable they are with you. You, Inc. helps provide that bridge from one world to another.

  3. You, Inc. Outcomes • You, Inc. looks at the person as the company and shows individuals how to build net worth and clientele starting within themselves. • You, Inc. can help explore options, bring clarity and insight into figuring out what's right for you.  • You, Inc. includes specialized a personality test, interest inventory, skill profiler, and value assessments, along with other programs that promote responsibility and accountability.

Leadership and Development Course (High School/College) • Introduction- Who are you? • YOU Incorporated- The BRAND is you! • Perception and Image- Let’s have a real conversation • Presentation- Networking Skills Dinner/Lunch Banquet • Career Assessment- Personality test, Interest Inventory, Skill Profiler, and Value assessment • Servant Leadership- Building leadership through Community Service • Big Screen vs. Little Screen- Beyond High School and College • *Any student who completes the You, INC Leadership Development and applies to one of the local universities or colleges, application admission fees will be waived.

Diversity Internship Program • Resume writing • Office Etiquette • Perception and Image- Transparency • Social Media pitfalls • Networking for your next opportunity • Career Assessment- Personality test, Interest Inventory, Skill Profiler, and Value assessment • Character and confidence building • Mock Interviews • **All students who complete the Diversity Internship Program will have priority summer job placement. • **All sessions are based on one hour class times. Could use weekend for Career Assessment if used.

  6. Introduction: Writing exercise • Who are you? • An introduction in your own words about who you are, what you believe in, and what you stand. • Things we don’t think about that make you more than just a name.

  7. You Incorporated • The BRAND is you! Believing enough in you to reach for the stars and remain humble. • Selling yourself can sometimes be the hardest thing to do. • You are the Company and how you present yourself will determine your clientele and your net worth. • You, INC. will teach you how to market yourself.

  8. Perception and Image • With the blink of the eye people will judge you before they realize that they just had an unbiased moment. • What people see is unfortunately what they believe. • A first impression most often seals the opportunity or destroys it in business and relationships. How are you perceived?

  9. Critical Thinking/Problem Solving • Sound reasoning (facts) to analyze issues, make decisions, and overcome problems. • Individual are able to obtain, interpret, and use knowledge and facts in this processto solve issues.

  10. Oral/Written Communication • Articulate thoughts and ideas clearly and effectively in written and oral forms to persons inside and outside comfort zones. • Enhance public speaking skills; is able to express ideas to others; and can write clear and concise sentences that also enhance writing skills.

  11. Teamwork/Collaboration • Build collaborative relationships with student and teachers representing diverse cultures, races, ages, genders, religions, lifestyles, and viewpoints. • The individual is able to work within a team structure, and can negotiate and manage conflict. i TEAM

  12. Leadership • Leverage the strengths of others to achieve common goals • Use interpersonal skills to assess and manage his/her emotions and those of others; • Use empathetic skills to guide and navigate tough situations

  13. Work Ethic • Demonstrate personal accountability and effective work habits, e.g., punctuality, working productively with others, and understanding the impact of non-verbal communications. • The individual demonstrates integrity and ethical behavior, • Acts responsibly with the interests of the larger community in mind, and is able to learn from his/her mistakes.

  14. Global/Intercultural Fluency • Value, respect, and learn from diverse cultures, races, ages, genders, sexual orientations, and religions. • The individual demonstrates, openness, inclusiveness, sensitivity, and the ability to interact respectfully with all people and understand individuals’ differences.
