  2. About THIS GAMEPLAY SEEMS FAMILIAR I suppose it’s important to note that I am a backer of Ghost Song Review and have been since the game was announced some eight years ago. However, I want to stress that this has zero bearing on my review of Ghost Song, and Humble Games provided a copy of the reviewed game. I love Metroidvania games, and this one was a title I was especially interested in, given that it also dips into the horror genre. As with most Metroidvania games, Ghost Song provides an interesting combination of gameplay and story while taking some cues from a certain roguelike. At the start, you’re equipped with a standard blaster, which isn’t that powerful, that will overheat, complete with a raging hot visual cue, if used for too long.
