She has a bachelor's degree in business administration, particularly focusing on marketing and management, from Chaminade University, in addition to his passion for swimming. She started as a competitor and is now a proud instructor and an inspiration for most people who are willing to achieve in their careers. She was so passionate about competing that she took home multiple awards.
She feels calmer now that she is an Olympian from the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona. She has competed in a number of international events outside of the Olympics, such as the French Polynesian Championships in Papeete, Tahiti, in 1989. She also plans camps and clinics for swimmers who compete.Tammie started to spend most of her time coaching.She founded the rational swim team at the Lowe's YMCA and the Harbour seals squad at the Lake Norman Swim League.
