  1. Fireworks Types You Should Know About Let’s review the whole mighty list of fireworks to know which is the worst and best of the lot. You can also get recommendations at the fireworks shop, if you don't want to take out word for it. 1. Firecrackers and Smoke Bombs These used to be good before all the others that came out bigger and better. If you want a huge display at the bonfire night then you better not get these. Loud bangs and smokes that’s all there are to firecrackers and smoke bombs. 2. Sparklers Best for birthday parties and weddings. These are like the tamed lions of the fireworks. Also, they are banned at a lot of places, so be sure you are aware of the law on them before buying a bulk of them from the fireworks shop. Most shop keepers are aware of the bans and prohibitions so, ask them before making a hasty purchase. 3. Fountains Certainly, best for places that doesn’t allow the “fly in the air rockets”. The 10 feet ones are the most impressive ones. They emit a huge shower of sparks, stars, and streamers full of colours. The longest one lasts for up to three minutes, but if you are looking for a bang, they aren’t your thing, as they go off with a simple whoosh. 4. Catherine Wheels They spin up to a minute, with a lot of whistling and crackling. The story behind the name of Catharine wheels is that a woman was killed, by tying her to a wheel and setting fire to it, her name was Catherine. 5. Mine Firework These are the ones that go wee in the sky and blast with a bang, showering the sky with sudden light. They can be bought in various colours from almost every fireworks shop. 6. Roman Candles An upright carboard spiral that is filled with balls, when you light this candle, balls go off emitting colourful starts of all shapes and sizes, these also make various noises like, bangs, crackles whistles etc.

  2. 7. Rockets These are the most common among the lot of fireworks. As they go off with a huge band, and come in various types. The rockets can go as high as 60 meters. 8. Peony Fireworks This resembles a rocket as it goes up in the air and blasts, but you will hear the blast first and then see the sky filling with small explosions with a crackling sound. They create a huge explosion of colour and they look very pretty. 9. Chrysanthemum This is like a peony but its louder and bigger than a peony, and it also goes off in the pattern of falling sparks. The sparks come in a variety of colours. 10. Crosette Fireworks The fun never ends with a Crosette, they are like fireworks within a firework. The go off with a bang just like Chrysanthemum, but they explode twice in the air. Fireworks are a great show, but you should always be extra vigilant with them, it’s better to learn how to light them first at the fireworks shop, just to be extra safe.
