  2. Situated in the town of Gorleston, Lynn Grove is a High School with 1100 pupils from the ages of 11 to 16. The school specialises in Maths, Sciences and Sport. • The school is on the edge of the Norfolk Broads near to the North Sea and the towns of Great Yarmouth and Gorleston.

  3. Great Yarmouth and Gorleston • The towns of Great Yarmouth and Gorleston are both well known prosperous seaside towns with a population of roughly 50000 people. Both the towns are reliant on summer tourism that the popular beaches and amusements bring. • The town was once the hub of the east coasts fishing activity before EU quotas reduced the amount of fish that could be caught.

  4. 21st Century Great Yarmouth Now the town is reliant on its links to the offshore oil and gas industries and also the growth in renewable energy which has seen the town develop with the addition of an outer harbour and wind farm.

  5. Norfolk Broads • The school is situated on the edge of the Norfolk Broads, an area of inland waterways, rivers and lakes popular with tourists, fisherman and boating enthusiasts. • They are an area of Outstanding National Beauty and have recently been designated as a National Park. • Situated within the Broads is St Benets Abbey, a 9th Century monastery still visited today.
