What is vitiligo

When pigment-producing cells pass away or stop working, vitiligo develops.<br>Any area of the body, including the mouth, hair, and eyes, might experience skin colour loss. People with darker skin tone could detect it more readily. Although the condition is not cured by treatment, the skin may look better.

  2. What is vitiligo Vitiligo is a condition that causes the skin to begin to lose its pigmentation—or color—for no apparent reason, resulting in white patches that are especially noticeable in people whose skin tone is naturally dark.

  3. light-colored patches on the skin Symptoms of vitiligo 01 Loss of color 02 03 Irregular patches 04 Itching and Burning 05 Tingling in the patches

  4. An auto immune condition When the immune system begins to attack healthy tissue, it often results in inflamed joints, according to the National Institutes of Health. In cases where the immune system attacks the skin, it can lead to rashes, blisters and color change. The latter is what happens with vitiligo, an autoimmune condition where the immune system’s assault on skin cells results in the loss of pigmentation. When you think of autoimmune diseases, you might picture lupus or rheumatoid arthritis. With those conditions, the body’s immune system, which normally functions as a barrier to prevent harmful bacteria, viruses and infection from infiltrating the body, turns on itself and begins attacking healthy cells in the body instead.

  5. Preventions of vitiligo Protecting skin from sun exposure Keeping skin moisturized Avoiding skin irritants Intake of vitamin-rich foods
