  2. The Relics of Holy Prophet Muhammad PBUH It’s one of the miracles of Allah that the relics (belongings) of Holy Prophet have been preserved and exist in the same condition. The relics include the tooth, hair, sword, shirt, turban, shoe and footprints among other belongings.

  3. Prophet S.A.W’s Hadith About Relics • One hadith tells us that Nuaym bin Hamad related from Abu Jaferithat Prophet (SAW) said; • “Hazrat Mehdi (PBUH) will appear in the evening together with the banner, mantle, sword, signs, radiance and beauty of our Prophet (PBUH).” The Prophet describes in great detail in the hadiths how Imam Mahdi PBUH will appear together with the sacred relics.

  4. Preserved Places of The Relics of Prophet S.A.W • These relics are preserved at several places which include: • TopakiPalace Museum (Turkey) • Central Mosque Kandahar Afghanistan) • BadshahiMosque (Lahore) • Al Hussein Mosque (Cairo) along with several other places.

  5. The Holy Swords of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W • The Prophet had nine swords. • He inherited Ma’thurfrom his father, and it was the first sword he ever owned. • He possessed al-Idband Dhu al-Fiqar, which never left his sight. • He also had al-Qali, al-Battar, al-Hatf, ar-Rawb, al-Mikhdam and al-Qadib which had a base of silver and silver circular hand guards.

Prophet S.A.W’s Dream About Dhu al-Fiqar • The Prophet acquired Dhu al-Fiqar during the Battle of Badr, and saw a dream about entering Makkah during its conquering, his sword was beautified with gold and silver. • Dhu al-Fiqar had a hilt, circular guard, tuft, buckles and a base made of silver.

  7. The Holy Tooth of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W • In the Battle of Uhud, Prophet Muhammad PBUH lost 4 teeth. • Only 2 of those are preserved till date. 1 of which is believed to be kept safe at Topaki Museum Palace in Turkey. • It is kept in a cylindrical box, framed in gold and covered in rubies and emeralds.

  8. The Blessed Mantle of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W • The mantle is an item of clothing given by the Prophet Muhammad PBUH to Uways al-Qarni is regarded as the most important of the sacred relics. • After Qarni lost his life at the Battle of Siffin, the mantle was taken to Istanbul by his brother. • The blessed mantle has recently been restored with great care in Fatih district of Istanbul in 1851. Some of the Ottoman caliphs were accompanied by the blesses mantle on their travels.

  9. The Holy Seal of Prophet Mohammad SAW • The seal of Muhammad is one of the relics of Prophet Muhammad PBUH kept in Topkapi Palace by the Ottoman Sultans as part of the Sacred Relics collection. • The seal itself is incased in crystal with a border of ivory. • Jean-Baptiste in 1675 reported that the seal was kept in a small ebony box in a niche cut in the wall by the foot of a divan in the relic room at topkapi.

The Holy Footprints of Prophet Mohammad SAW • Some Muslims believe that wherever the Prophet roamed, his left foot made a lasting impression. • Such footprints have been recovered from religious sites throughout the middle east and are now on display at mosques, museums and other historical sites throughout the region. Four footprints belonging to the Prophet Muhammad PBUH are preserved in a recessed case in Hirka-i-saadat section.

  11. The Holy Hair of Prophet Mohammad SAW • The hair of Prophet PBUH were neither very straight nor very curly (but slightly wavy). Several hair from the beard of our Prophet PBUH are kept in the Hirka-i-Saadat section. • These are preserved in gold-framed glass boxes and jewel cases. Said to have been shaved from the face of Prophet Muhammad PBUH by his favourite barber.
