  1. Here Are Some Important Basics Of Aluminium Recycling Aluminum is one of the most common metals used for different purposes, especially in packaging. Soft drinks, beer cans and food foils; are made of aluminum. Its lightweight and durability contribute to the cause and make it one of the best choices for a sturdy packaging solution. This metal is extracted again from the scrap cans and packaging solutions and reused. Here are the basics of recycling scrap aluminum cansyou should know. Basics of recycling aluminum cans 1.Recycling is done to save the environment Post usage food and beverages cans; are discarded. They get dumped and cause harm to the environment. Thus, recycling is the only process to extract aluminum from discarded packaging and reuse it to save the environment. 2.Cans are collected as scrap AScrap aluminum can; is collected from the dumpsters. A specialized protocol is used to sort them. Once sorted, cans are cleaned and then compressed to form bales. 3.Shredding Converting them into bales saves space and eases the process of shredding. All paintings and coatings need to be removed before shredding a scrap aluminum can. 4.Magnetic sorting Magnetic sorting; results in distinguishing the ferromagnetic metals and alloys from aluminum and then de-coating is done. 5.Melting These shredded and de-coated pieces are then transferred to a furnace for melting at 7000°C. it makes the impurities float as the heavier molten metal settles down. This is how pure aluminum is collected. Benefits of recycling aluminum cans Further processing is done to extract aluminum from the cans. By recycling a scrap aluminum cans,we can reduce mining and exhausting our natural resources. We also save the environment from the hazards of can dumping and save energy during the process.
