1. Talent of Over Shooting the Budgets… Who Cares? We, the Interior Designers are notoriously known for over shooting the budgets and endless projects. On this budget day, having spent 20 years in Interior Designing, I am just out of my professional introspection. Sometimes, I think, we the interior designers are naturally talented to over shoot our own assured budgets and timelines. With plethora of design options, innovative materials, new age construction patterns have made our profession so interesting like, never it was. Interior Designers have to deal with customers’ demand on utility oriented, space-efficient and aesthetically pleasing designs with overall perspective of ambiance. Our job is not limited to creating an object, but is extended to designing a solution to overcome challenges and satisfy different generations in same family. Commercial interior designing is now about designing solutions for professional hazards, sedentary lifestyles, gender needs, and internal branding.

2. Residential interior designing is now about designing solutions for nuclear families, working couples, monitoring lonely children, single parents, modern cooking practices, health practices and smart electronics. I believe that it is the time our fraternity braces up to learn technologies which are not obviously related to interior designing. At Scope Interior, it is our impeccable record of completing projects on time and in budget. Visualization technologies have made our jobs easy. I am so excited with these futuristic technologies pertaining to smart homes, internet of things (IOT) and green initiatives in home / office designing. With this note, on budget day. I am writing my first “Mann ki Baat“. Next time I will come up with an interesting development in the field of interior decor.
