  2. What is listeningListening is the active process of receiving and responding to spoken massages.

  3. Stages of listening a) Pre-listening (preparation for listening)b) while listening (the period of listening)c) Post-listening ( after finishing listening)

Teaching listening skills what does it include??? # teacher should opt right type ( with picture,text,song and e.t.c) ;# to explain beforehand more specificly or in detail ;# should try to use pictures about that theme for being more engaging# to select appropriate task to their level ;# to check pupils` answer on time ;# to discuss after finishing ; # to give more motivation ;

  5. What material should be :a) activity must really demand listening ;b) it must not be memory test ;c) tasks should be realistic or useful in some way ;d) activity must actively help listener to improve his listening ;e) it should not be threatening ;

Filling gaps Answer to the questions choose correct variation in the test Making note what you hear Listening includes different tasks and games ( for 5-6 th grades) Story telling Whole body listening Jigsaw task ( to work out what is being ) Choose the correct picture through listening Complete the lyrics of songs Matching words

Improving method*Use a story or article ;* Make your child a copy of the story with several words blanket out ;* Read the story or article , have them listen and read silently following with you ;* when they hear a blanked out word ,have them write down ;*Do not stop for them ;* Read slowly ; * Practice this with a different story/article each week ;

  9. This method will promote :@ LISTENING @ WRITING@ SPELLING PAY ATTENTION : * Sure the words that the child can spell and not get into trouble to write ; * do not show answers;
