  2. ABOUT THE PROGRAM A B.Sc Anaesthesia and OT Technology degree from Santosh Medical College, Ghaziabad can provide you skills to work in field of medicine and Operation Theatre. It is wide comprehensive program in which students are trained theoretically and practically for various job opportunities. B.Sc. in Anaesthesia Technology course is opted by students who wish to learn about anaesthesia equipment, anaesthesia agents, techniques as well as dosage in order to ensure a better monitoring of the patient. The knowledge gained by the students through B.Sc. in Anaesthesia Technology helps them in choosing the right anaesthetic treatment for a patient & its dosage. SCOPE AND OBJECTIVES Candidates who successfully complete their B.Sc Anaesthesia & OT Technology Course gets opportunity to do various jobs. The job profiles for such candidates are Anaesthesia Technician, Medical Consultant, Anaesthetist, Paediatrician, Clinical Associate, Certified Registered Nurse Anaesthetist, Anaesthesiologist Assistant, Associate Consultant and many other of such courses. DURATION AND ELIGIBILITY B.Sc. in Anaesthesia Technology is a 3-year full-time undergraduate degree course. The eligibility for this course is the 12th or equivalent examination in the Science stream with a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

  3. B.SC. IN ANAESTHESIA TECHNOLOGY: WHAT IS IT ABOUT? Under B.Sc. in Anaesthesia Technology program, the eligible candidates are provided training in all the types of equipment that are used for anaesthesia, different anaesthesia agents, the techniques that need to be used for giving anaesthesia as well as its allowable dosage which depends on the patient and operational conditions. The subjects that are taught during the three years of graduation include Anaesthesia Technology, Medical Technology, Fundamentals of Operation Theatre, and Anaesthesia and Operation Theatre techniques. This program will help the students with forming a strong base in anaesthesia technology which will equip them with the skills of choosing the right anaesthetic that should be given to any patient on the basis of their medical condition. They also gain a good knowledge of the correct equipment that needs to be used and the dosage of the anaesthetic that they would be giving. B.Sc. in Anaesthesia Technology students also learn a lot about the fundamentals of operation theatres, emergency wards, and intensive care units. A lot of topics related to medical technology are also covered in this course. The additional skill that they gain is to monitor the patient. The students will be able to assist doctors in ICUs, emergency wards, and operation theatres. They are basically allied healthcare professionals. B.SC. IN ANAESTHESIA TECHNOLOGY: CAREER PROSPECTS There are many different career options that the graduates of B.Sc. in Anaesthesia Technology can go for. Majority of the top hospitals and institutes hire them at a good pay scale and on a good post. Some of the posts which are available for a graduate in Anaesthesia Technology are Anaesthesia Technician, Medical Consultants, Clinical Associate, Certified Registered Nurse Anaesthetist, Anaesthesiologist Assistant, Associate Consultant among many others. They are also appointed in the workplaces of physicians or surgeons who perform surgery. The specializations which they can choose from are General Anaesthetics, Cardiothoracic Anaesthetists, Neuro Anaesthetists, Intensive care, Obstetric Anaesthetics, Paediatric Anaesthetics, and a few others.
