Accomplishments over past year • Successful proposal to pilot videotaping NHSAH meeting content for distribution & sale • Developed NHSAH Google group • Renewed CSL Behring $12k unrestricted grant • Ongoing development of mentor-mentee program for abstract and grant submissions • Awarded ABTC credits for meeting (2nd year) • Contributed to development of guideline papers re: care of PH patient & care VAD patient

Goals and plans for coming year • Sale/distribution/evaluation of NHSAH specific meeting content (pilot) • Investigate opportunities to collaborate c other transplant organizations • Develop educational programs to be delivered between annual meetings • Produce a slide series providing thoracic transplant in-servicing for hospital staff consistent with regulatory agencies (e.g., CMS, UNOS) standards • Propose guideline paper: Patient Adherence

  4. Key discussion points and action items for the Board • Pilot of post-meeting sale of AV NHSAH meeting content • For content to be marketable will require CEUs • NHSAH will investigate Nursing CEUs, or request entire meeting be recorded and distributed c ACCME CEUs • Revenue for ISHLT from sources who can not afford flight or hotel • Collaboration with other organizations would give us access to their membership rosters and grants our members access to their educational offerings • Request approval and terms of the Board before pursuing

  5. Items needing budget consideration • Production & distribution of video • Cost per Amanda Rowe (investigating options) • Sale price point < meeting registration if CEUs provided, <<< if no CEUS provided • Purchase of non-ACCME CEUs for content offered outside of annual meeting • $6500/2 years as ANA provider • $200/meeting or $1500/yr ABTC (for CEPTCs) c multiple offerings
