  9. Multi- vs. Isolated- Tenant • Multi-Tenant cloud based services and applications are shared end points, and services, included storage among subscription holders to those applications. • Isolated-Tenant cloud based services and applications typically run on a dynamic cloud platform. They are contained within a given subscribers set of cloud resources, and the application instance is not shared among other tenants.

  11. AppFabric, ADFS & More • Windows Server AppFabric is a new environment for hosting custom services, on-premise. Server AppFabric provides a new way of management for services, and will help further connect on-premise and cloud based services. • ADFS, Active Directory Federated Services will help enable management and security for cloud based services and applications. Connecting on-premise AD id’s with LiveId. • The next version of BizTalk will help over deep, service level integration with on-premise and cloud hosted services. Enable Hybrid workflows, etc.

  12. AX 6 & Cloud Enablement • Focused Improvements Around Software + Services: • AIF Improvements, and simplicity • Hosting of services within AppFabric • Improvements to consuming of services with AX • True Interop with .Net Framework • With this AX 6 will further ease the ability to connect AX with cloud based services and applications.
