  5. Career development is an important part of your education, too. In fact, the more information you have about yourself and the world of work, the more informed decisions you can make! Remember, career development is an on-going, lifelong process!

  8. 1.ASSESS-Learn about yourself! Before you know what kind of work is right for you, you need to discover who you are. What are your interests, skills, and values? 2.EXPLORE-Learn about careers! Labor market information will help you learn about educational requirements and the number of workers needed in a particular career. 3. PLAN-Be a goal setter! Planning what courses you need in high school can help you reach your career goals.

Most occupations today require some type of education or training after high school.In fact, 85% of all new jobs projected will require education/training past high school.Workers will need to be better educated to fill new jobs and continue to learn as technology and skill requirements change. That means life-long learning!
