École Polytechnique’s MOOC-‘Studying in France’, listed in 100 Most Popular Online Courses of All Time ‘Studying in France: French Intermediate Course B1-B2’ – a MOOC created by the E-learning Department of the École Polytechnique – has been ranked 77thamongst the 250 most popular online courses of all time, designed by the MOOC aggregation platform, the Class Central. This MOOC was created by Isabelle Schaffner and Olivier Bertran (both teaching French in the Languages and Cultures Department, at the École Polytechnique), and Julie André (lecturer in the same department). The course has been designed to help students willing to pursue their higher education in France. It enables them to reach the required level of French language skills and adapt well to the new environment. This MOOC, not a replacement of the B1 or B2 level tests, aims to facilitate thousands of international students who wish to study in a French-speaking country. It includes videos of courses, short film excerpts, texts in multiple formats, and authentic videos for international students living in France.
