It aims to produce quality professionals in this ?eld to compete globally and excel by carrying out basic and applied research in emerging areas by forging strong industry-institute interaction. ADMISSION 2022 Modern Pedagogical methodology Wide Career scope Electronics & Communication Engineers are highly demanded in ?elds such as Network Engineering, Aeronautics Electronics Systems, Electronic Surveillance System, Mobile Communication, Embedded Systems, Power Industry, Software Development, etc. The department focuses on stimulating talent which is professionally superior in meeting global challenges of the industry. The faculty lays emphasis on both theory and practical aspects, industry-relevant knowledge which prepares students for challenging scenarios. The teaching and pedagogical regime adopted by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering encourages innovations, smart learning, and a student-centric experimental scenario. Modern teaching methodology powered with robust mentoring in a project-based mode fuels advanced learning. Extensive focus is laid on hands-on workshops, practical /immersion modules, in line with the course contents for students integration with industry experts. The courses are meticulously designed and planned to cater to individual industry demands. Vision Mission To impart quality technical education through research, innovation and teamwork for creating professionally superior and ethically strong manpower that meets the global challenges of engineering industries in the area of Electronics and Communication Engineering. Educate a new generation of Electronics and Communication Engineers to meet the challenges of the future by providing them with a ?rm foundation of the both the theory and practice of Electronics and Communication Engineering at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.  Create, develop and disseminate new knowledge by top quality applied research in Electronics and Communication Engineering by engaging faculty in both practical and theoretical research, in partnership with government agency, private industry and non-governmental organization. The aim of this research is to advance knowledge within our disciplines and also to contribute to solving problems faced by our society.  Promote a sense of scholarship, leadership and service among our graduates. 

  2. Message from Head of the Department Welcome to the portal of Electronics & Communication Engineering Department (ECED). It is my honor and great pleasure to introduce the department, which is one of the leading departments of TIET established in 1975. Since then, it has been widely recognized for its excellent research and teaching capabilities. We have two strong undergraduate programs B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering, B.E. Electronics and Computer Engineering, a B.E. – MBA dual degree program in Electronics and Communication Engineering. At the postgraduate level, we offer M. The responsibilities and dedications of our teachers lead the ECE Department towards an outstanding learning environment, where the state-of-the-art laboratories, libraries, access to knowledge resources, extracurricular activities all are present. Dr. Alpana Agarwal Our department offers science-based engineering curriculum. The primary focus of our curriculum is to impart technical know-how to students, promote their problem solving skills and innovation of new technologies. Department offers large number of optional courses for providing wide spectrum of options to the students to pursue their interest. The department has strong industry and government research organisations connect to abreast the students with the new scienti?c and technological developments.  Undergraduate students are also encouraged to undertake various research projects. A very friendly and congenial atmosphere exists for fostering a friendly and healthy teacher-student relationship. The students are encouraged to compete in today's research and job premises. The curricula of our department are regularly updated to accommodate the latest developments and breakthroughs in various ?elds of Electronics & Communication Engineering, and make our graduates able to accept the emerging challenges in the research as well as industrial premises. Notably the graduates of this Department have long been engaged in the profession with reputation around the globe. The department maintains active research groups for carrying out collaborative and interdisciplinary research. We have state of the art research facilities to support our academic programs and research. The department has following major thrust area: RF Systems and MEMS, Wireless Communication, Optical Communication, Signal Processing, VLSI Devices, Circuit and Systems. Funding for research (approximately 5 crores during last ?ve years) help us to maintain and modernise our research infrastructure.
