Hypertension is also commonly referred to as high blood pressure. In this condition, the force of the blood against the artery walls is too high. If hypertension is untreated for a long period of time then it can cause health conditions, such as heart disease and stroke. For this reason, it is very important for people to get rid of their high blood pressure or hypertension. If you are also suffering from high blood pressure, then you should consider visiting a hypertension specialist. Hypertension generally does not have any major symptoms. However, if the condition of hypertension is severe then it can show some symptoms. By far the most common sign of hypertension is having any kind of severe headache. When the blood pressure level rises significantly, this could cause headaches. Sometimes, if hypertension becomes too severe then it could even cause a migraine that causes a throbbing sensation on one side of the head.
