Overview • Bangalore University offers multiple Undergraduate, Integrated, Postgraduate, Diploma, PG Diploma, Certificate, and Doctorate courses for eligible candidates.  • The Law College was established in 1948 and the College of Physical Education in 1959.    • In 1973, Bangalore University moved into a new campus named Jnana Bharathi (JB), which is located on a sprawling 1100 acres of land.  • Currently, the JB Campus houses several offices, PG departments, centres of higher learning, NSS Bhavan, outdoor stadium, and other support services. • Bangalore University has completed 57 years of its existence and is regarded as one of the largest universities in Asia.  • Though BU was intended to be a federal university, it has currently emerged as an affiliating university, with over 298 colleges affiliated to it.
