  1. Why Vrindavan is Known as the Land of Lord Krishna The name Vrindavan is close to the hearts of millions of followers all over the world. This ancient town of Uttar Pradesh is considered the land of Lord Krishna and has a singularly important position in the Hindu spirituality. Here the childhood and youth of this Lord Krishna passed, and there happened the divine plays, the loves, and miracles. This holy land has gained its name not only as a result of mythology but as a result of its heritage of famous Vrindavan temples and devotional traditions. The Birthplace of Divine Pastimes There are Hindu writings that state that Lord Krishna grew up in Vrindavan.
