In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is the most common advanced and widely accepted assisted reproductive technology (ART) treatment that has helped thousands of couples grow their families since it was first successfully performed in 1978. The procedure involves removing eggs from a woman’s ovaries and fertilizing in an embryology lab with fresh or frozen sperm (from a partner or donor).
