About IPO: Barbeque Nation Hospitality gets SEBI‘s go ahead to float IPO. Company has filed IPO papers with SEBI for the second time. Backed by private equity investors CX partners and ace investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala’s investment firm Alchemy Capital, the IPO would comprise a fresh Issue of shares as well as offer for sale. SEBI approve to raise ₹1,000-1,200 Cr. through an IPO. The IPO comprises a fresh issue of shares worth ₹ 275 Cr. and an offer for sale of up to 98,22,947 equity shares, according to DRHP filed with SEBI. Proceeds of the issue will be utilized to repay an outstanding borrowing of ₹ 205 Cr. in part or full and for general corporate purpose.

Company currently own and operate 138 outlets in India, 5 outlets in UAE, 1 outlet in Malaysia and 1 outlet in Oman. It is one of India’s leading casual dining restaurant chains according to the Technopak Report. Company launched its first Barbeque Nation Restaurant in 2008, and subsequently acquired five Barbeque Nation Restaurants owned by SHL in 2012. According to Technopak, the chain CDR segment is one of the fastest growing segments in the Indian restaurant industry and is projected to grow at a Compounded Annual Growth Rate (“CAGR”) of approximately 21.00% from Fiscal 2017 to Fiscal 2022. They have recently diversified into a second brand, becoming the India franchisee of the American hamburger chain, Johnny Rockets. One of India’s fastest growing and widely recognized restaurant brands in the rapidly growing CDR segment. Strong business processes and back-end systems leading to efficient operations.
