  1. PHYSIOREVIVE PHYSIOTHERAPY AND KNEE REPLACEMENT

  2. KNEE REPLACEMENT SURGERY:- Knee replacement surgery can be defined as the technique to rebuild eroded knee joints. Affected knee joints are no longer able to bear the load and hence fail to carry out functions like walking and running. The major cause of such failure is osteoarthritis. It is a painful condition that pertains to the inflammation of bone joints and cartilages

  3. The surgery is usually carried out under the effect of anaesthesia and the time taken is between 1hrs- 3 hrs. Post surgery, the patient is kept under observation for 3-4 days and during that time treated further with physiotherapy exercises for post-surgery care in physiotherapy clinic in delhi. The knee replacement can be done using metal alone or with a combination of metal and plastic.

  4. The only major problem post knee replacement is the weakness of muscle & stiffness, which requires extensive physiotherapy to be eliminated.

  5. SYMPTOMS OF KNEE OSTEOARTHRITIS:- The main symptom of osteoarthritis is knee pain, morning stiffness less than 30 min, age older than 50 and tenderness in the bony mass. It restricts movements involved in the day to day activities such as bending of knees, walking, bending down, turning sides while sleeping etc. It is most common in the elderly.

  6. ROLE OF PHYSIOTHERAPY IN RELIEF:- Usually the first-day post-surgery, various thoughts are flooding your mind about if you will be able to play your favourite sports again or will you be able to go on long walks again. Well, this is where our physiotherapy comes to the rescue. Starting physiotherapy as soon as you can post- surgery is important to regulate blood flow in the replaced part and ensure mobility.

  7. REMEMBER The physiotherapist would help you to step out of the bed using walker/crutches to initiate mobility from Day-1.

  8. CONCLUSION Various physiotherapy exercises involved in the recovery are quad-sets, quad over-roll and straight leg raises. Following these exercises with us, you will very soon be walking more safely and easily. Our eminent physiotherapist Dr Vikrant Bhardwaj and his team at Physiorevive help the patients to start their physiotherapy relief journey and we ensure to give our best
