  2. Who founded the mission? • Father Ferman Lasuen • It was founded on December 4, 1786.

  3. Where’s the location? • Laguna Street, Santa Barbara

  4. What number is it in the chain? • The tenth mission founded

  5. Was it ever damaged? • In 1925,an earthquake happened and destroyed the mission. • At $400,000,it was built again and finished in 1927.

  6. What Indian tribe lived there? • The Chumash Indian Tribe lived at the mission.

  7. What was life like? • The Indians tended animals like horses, cows and even more. • Indians fed and took care of them.

  8. Did they like their home? • Yes, the Indians loved the care they got from the settlers.

  9. What did they grow? • They grew roses • They also grew crops like wheat, corn, and peas.

  10. Did I enjoy doing this mission report? • Yes, I did. • I thought it was amazing and beautiful.
