  1. MILLENNIAL RESEARCH CORPORATION Magnetronic Motors Technology Presentation

  2. Conventional Motor Technology Magnets • Motors operate on alternating (push/pull) electromagnetic fields • A magnet picks up fewer nails when iron is used as a transmission path • The iron rotor in a conventional motor resists magnetic flux transmission Iron 0.5 lb force Conventional rotors use iron 10 lb force

  3. The simple Magnetronic Coil (Normally encased in plastic) Magnetronic Motor Technology Magnetronic Coil Windings • Magnetronic coil windings are less complex than conventional coil windings • Simpler coils: • Easier to repair • Less likely to need repairs • Stronger magnetic fields • Lower cost Conventional Coil Windings Conventional windings are extremely complex

  4. Magnetronic Motor Technology • The cool-running coils are encapsulated in plastic • Heavy iron is not used to transmit the flux • Each coil pushes against 4 magnets (2 per side) • With 48 coils, the failure of a coil reduces power by only 1/48th of the total Coils Magnets The Magnetronic Motor

  5. The Magnetronic Motor 1 2 3 4 5 This Magnetronic Motor has 5 stator/rotor sections. The Magnetronic Motor design is very flexible and can be designed with any number of stator/rotor sections. Each section can be designed with as few or as many coils and magnets as are needed.

  6. Higher Density Designs in Process 1st Generation: 32 ft-lbs, 5.4” wide 3rd Generation: 105 ft-lbs, 3” wide Current 2nd prototypes produce 68 ft-lbs, 3rd generation available soon

  7. Retrofit Test Vehicle Vehicle Retrofit Motor Control System Batteries 86 Foot Pound Test Motor

  8. Future Design Vs. Cummins 5.9L Turbo Diesel 610 ft-lbs torque at 1600 RPM 325 horsepower at 2900 RPM 2 Automotive Hub Motors (16” Rim) 730 ft-lbs torque at wide range RPM 25 horsepower at 1120 RPM (80 mph) 64 horsepower at 2900 RPM

  9. Magnetronic Motor Advantages • Cooler operation  higher efficiency (heat = waste) • Smaller with higher power to weight ratios • Modular design = highly fault tolerant (Broken wires no longer mean weeks in the shop) • Much lower starting power (conventional motors dim the lights in the room during startup)

  10. Magnetronic Motor Products • Magnetronic Motors • Magnetronic Hub Motors • Magnetronic Transmissions (Infinitely variable transmission motor) • Magnetronic Generators

  11. Magnetronic Motor Applications • Aerospace • Airplanes • Helicopters • Automotive and Transportation • Alternators • Cars • Small Trucks and Vans • Large Trucks • Tractors • Buses • Construction and Construction Tools • Earth Movers • Power Tools • Dental Devices • Generators • Power Plant Generators • Retail and Commercial • Wind and Water Generators • Household and Industrial Appliances • Fans • Kitchen Appliances • Washer and Dryers • Vacuum Cleaners • HVAC • Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps • Blower Motors • Lawn and Garden Products • Power Tools • Lawn Mowers and Tractors • Manufacturing and Industrial • Centrifuge Motors • Conveyers • Hydraulic Pumps • Equipment Motors • Marine • Boats, Barges, Shipping, and Other Large Boats • Boats, Recreational • Medical Devices • Positioning Motors • Powersports • Motorcycles • ATVs • Snowmobiles • Small Motors • Cooling fans for computers and electronics • Toys • Water, Air, and Chemical Pumps • Compressors • Chemical Pumps • Water Pumps There are many applications for Magnetronic Motors
