But it is quite embarrassing that industrial fires and explosions are injuring innocent people and damaging property, technology, and goods of billions. Several factories burn due to fire in a year and many working capitals have to lose their lives even. So it has become essential to avoid industrial fires and explosions. Here are some tips that may help you to avoid any accident. 1.Training beyond fire extinguishers: If you are working in any company then answer my one question, when was the last time the company went for a fire safety drill, and are you aware of what to do if a fire breaks out. And if you are the owner of the company then when you conduct a fire safety drill for your employees. Very few have answers with yes. Some buildings have installed fire extinguishers but the biggest problem is no one knows how to use them. Training only about the use of fire extinguishers is not enough, all the employees of the company should know about how to handle fire alarm panels and what to do if a fire breakout. 2.Integrating fire safety: It is always good to evaluate all sorts of risk premises while designing any building especially fire safety. Every building floor must be connected with a fire alarm panel. Installing fire alarm systems, speaker hooters and fire suppression systems help to warn about the fire and to fight the fire when it is in its initial stages respectively. Fire suppression systems also restrict the fire to spread further and control the fire till firefighters arrive at the place. 3.Taking precautions in high-risk areas: Industrial fire doesn't always start from a central building, it may start from parking, battery room, the kitchen where a single spark is enough to become a tragedy. So installing a special sort of fire alarm system in different areas can enhance the security level. If the industry deals with flammable substances then some special precautions and fire safety measures are needed to adopt. 4.Vacuuming of machinery daily: One of the frequent causes of fire is combustible dust in chemical manufacturing, woodworking, metal production, and the pharmaceutical

  2. industry. So to restrict the dust, it is advisable that machinery is well maintained and raw materials are stored properly with proper safety precautions. 5.Timely and routine maintenance and drills: To make sure that all fire safety equipment is working properly it is essential to maintain them timely. There should be testing of the safety equipment every month. It’s also important to go over fire safety drills and briefings with the workforce. Prevention is always better than cure so to live a happy and safe life and to safeguard your business and workforce, installing and maintaining a fire alarm system is essential.
