  1. JEE Main Exam Pattern JEE (Main) to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTI), Institutions funded by participating State Governments, and other Institutions. The Paper-1 (B. E. /B. Tech.) of JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced) and students can take JEE (Advanced) only after qualifying the Paper-1 (B. E. /B. Tech.) of JEE (Main). This time there is a change in regulatory body for Joint Entrance Examination JEE (Main)– 2019. Instead of CBSE this time National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct JEE (Main) – 2019. National Testing Agency (NTA) is an independent, autonomous and self-sustained premier organization under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. The Central Government has established the National Testing Agency to conduct entrance examination for admission/ fellowship in higher educational institutions. This year i.e. 2019 for the first time JEE (Main)-2019 will be conducted twice. This will give students one more opportunity to the students to improve their scores in examination if they fail to give their best in first attempt without wasting their whole academic year. The first attempt of JEE (Main) – 2019 will be held in January, 2019 whereas the second attempt will be held in April, 2019. The test will be held on different shifts/dates in both the attempts. Details about JEE (Main) – 2019 including exam pattern is available on NTA web site https://www.nta.ac.in/ and www.jeemain.nic.in Candidates are advised to visit the web site and check for change, update and detail information. Mode of Examination for JEE (Main) 2019 JEE (Main)-2019 will be conducted in the following mode: (a) Paper-1 (B.E. /B. Tech.) in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode only. (b) Paper-2 (B. Arch/ B. Planning): Mathematics- Part I and Aptitude Test-Part II in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode only and Drawing Test –Part III in “Pen & Paper Based” (offline) mode to be attempted on drawing sheet. Exam Pattern of JEE (Main) 2019 Paper Subjects Type of Questions Mode of Examination Paper-1 (B.E./B.Tech.) Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry Objective Type - Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with equal weightage to Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode only

Arch/ B.Planning) (to be attempted in one sitting) Mathematics – Part I Aptitude Test – Part II Objective Type - Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode only Drawing Test – Part III Questions to test drawing aptitude “Pen & Paper Based” (offline) mode to be attempted on Drawing sheet Subject Number of Questions Marks Physics Chemistry Mathematics Total 30 30 30 90 120 120 120 360 All Questions will be objective type i.e. multiple choice questions Each question will have four options with single correct answer Each question carries 4 marks. For each correct response the candidate will get 4 marks. One mark will be deducted for the total score for each incorrect response. The duration of test would be three (03) hours Requirement of papers for different courses is as below Course All other undergraduate courses (B.E. /B. Tech.) Papers Paper - 1 Paper - 2 B.ARCH/B. PLANNING (At Institutions other than IITs) Medium of the Question Papers The medium of Question Paper shall be in English, Hindi and Gujarati.
