The city is highly developed and well established in all walks of life. Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy (DSMA) is one of the oldest higher education institutions in Ukraine and the fourth (highest) level of accreditation in Ukraine.

  1. About Dnepropetrovsk Medical Academy - Ukraine Dnepropetrovsk State Medical Academy - Center for Education, Science, and Culture of the highly industrialized region of Ukraine, Dnieper. The city of Dnepropetrovsk is the most important industrial city in Ukraine. More than 40% of the Ukrainian industry is located in Dnipropetrovsk. It is known as the business city of Ukraine. The city is highly developed and well established in all walks of life. Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy (DSMA) is one of the oldest higher education institutions in Ukraine and the fourth (highest) level of accreditation in Ukraine. The Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy (DSMA) was founded on 15 September 1916 based on the Ekaterinoslavsky Institute for Advanced Studies in Women. The institute received the status of State Academy in 1920, and in 1994 the Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy (DSMA) in Ukraine was ratified by resolution 224 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on 20 April 1994. 646 professors work in the Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy (DSMA) departments, including 98 doctors of medical sciences, 359 candidates of medical sciences, and 1 scholarship holder of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, 1 corresponding member of the National Medical Academy. Throughout its history, the Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy (DSMA) has trained approximately 49,000 doctors, dentists, pharmacists, and licensed nurses. Since 1996, the Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy (DSMA) has been headed by Academician Professor G.V. of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine. Directed. Zak. The priorities are: Development of new technologies for the diagnosis, development, and progression of hypertension; Perinatal HIV infection: assess the effectiveness and adaptation of modern pharmacological agents for the prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, and prevention of the spread of HIV/AIDS; Development of new treatments and prevention of bladder and prostate cancer; Modern methods of diagnosis and treatment of cerebrovascular diseases; Development of in-house technologies to treat orthopedic diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system. Academics at the Academy take an active part in international conferences and symposia. Over the past 5 years, the Academy has defended 15 doctoral theses and 167 master's theses. The performance of Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy (DSMA) was 100%. The Academy received 265 patients, 6507 articles were published, and 516 were published internationally. The Academy produces 3 scientific journals: "Medical Perspectives," "Urology," and "Dermatovenereology, Cosmetology, Sexual Pathology."
