Diwan-e-Bahoo Diwan-e-Bahoo is one of the approximately 140 works that Sultan Bahoo (R.A.) has authored. This collection contains fifty-one (51) odes. His several works include Persian verses that emphasize unity and the love of God. The ode that follows is the -- He is the only thing that exists outside Hoo; he is the truth; and I only know Hoo. I just repeat the word "Hoo" since he is the truth. I look for one, and I hold one in my heart like a flower. Apart than that, I don't discover anything else. I'm comforted by the fact that I have tied my heart and soul to Hoo and not to anybody else. I've traveled the whole cosmos and only loved that Truth (Haqq). I called out one and saw one and saw just one. -- An amazing ode has been written by Hazrat Sultan Bahoo (R.A). Even though the poem relies heavily on rhyme, some of the rhymes are overdone. However, a closer examination reveals Hazrat Bahoo's (R.A.) insight and attention, and one forgets the usage of a few rhymes. 'lllahHoo' and 'Hoo Hoo' are examples of this knowledge. The way these lines are woven into the lovely ode is so delicate and endearing that the listener becomes detached from the outside world and immersed in a spiritual state. Many other distiches have this unique quality of Hazrat Bahoo (R.A). Simply have a look at these details: - You state that it is He but don't claim that I am. He alone knows the key of this inhaling, thus yes, it is He. He is the only one who knows about this declaration. Nobody is aware of my deepest passion or the amount of work I am capable of. Why have you cut me off? It's very sad, terribly terrible. It would be more accurate to refer to this statement as linguistic excellence. The famous poet Jilal- ud-din Muhammad Balkhi's "Kulyat-e Shams" contains the same piece. Pay close attention to the following details: Since religion is his life, artificial aesthetics is often disregarded. According to Hazrat Sultan Bahoo's (R.A.) biography, he seems to emulate the tradition and style of two well-known poets: Khawaja Shams-ud-Din Muhammad Hafiz Sherazi (R.A.) and Hazrat Mevlana Jamal-ud-Din Muhammad Balkhi (R.A.). One may have readily deduced from studying `Kulyat-e-Shams' that Diwan-e-Bahoo' has many characteristics with Hazrat Mevlana's in terms of rhyme and modification. The creator of this style is Hazrat Mevlana, as we have previously said. Hafiz Sherazi's style is also seen in a number of Hazrat Sultan Bahoo's (R.A.) odes.
