Enrollment Criteria • Copy of Social Security Card • Copy of Birth Certificate • Age not to exceed 41 years and 364 days • Proof of citizenship if not born in United States • Name Change documents if applicable • Official College Transcript • 60 hours for Traditional / 90 for Accelerated • Cannot be issued to student • Mail to: 238th Regiment (CA) 1LT Josh Futrell 4675 State Route 181 North Greenville, KY 42345 • Officer Candidate Autobiography
Enrollment Criteria • Commander Letter of Recommendation (Template Provided) • Proof of ETS Date (PQR or Enlistment Contract) • ETS Date must be after course completion date • Proof of GT Score (DA Form 2-1 or DD 1966) • Minimum GT Score of 110 • DD Form 214 (From all active duty service)
Enrollment Criteria • OCS State Enlistment Option (DD Form 1966 & DD 220 for Proof of Basic Training) • If soldier is not an OCS enlistment option they must have AIT or equivalent • Secret Clearance Verification (JPAS Printout, Secret Clearance Verification Letter, Proof of Interim Secret) • NGB 62E • Guide to Completing the NGB 62E • OCS Equipment Packing List • APFT (DA 705) Height/Weight IAW AR 600-9
The 238th Regiment OCS • The 238th Regiment Will Provide: • All Orders • Chapter 2 Commissioning Physical Coordination • Background Investigation • Assistance with all Waivers • Security Clearance if Necessary
Orders Provided by 238th Regiment • AT Orders (OCS PH1 & PH3) (ADT For Accelerated OCS) • Attachment Order (Soldier will be attached to 238th Regiment after completion of first OCS PH0 Drill) • Promotion Orders (If not E-5, soldier will be promoted to E-5 after he/she is attached to the 238th)
Chapter 2 Commissioning Physical • 238th Regiment will host a Chapter 2 Commissioning Physical during January Pre-Qualification Weekend. • Summer or Winter Accelerated Candidates and late addition Candidates will require other arrangements. • Medical problems identified that result in the “Not Qualified for Service” box being checked will require follow-up and or a moral waiver before attending Phase 1 OCS. • The 238th will submit the medical waiver if required.
Moral Issues • Background Investigation will be conducted • Moral Waiver required for: • Any violation over $300 • Any violation involving moral turpitude: • Alcohol, Drugs, Reckless Driving, etc. • Waiver will be needed for all charges/arrests (even if not convicted) • If a moral waiver is needed soldier will need an ADDITIONAL memo from Unit Commander(click for template) supporting approval of the moral waiver.

Traditional OCS • Phase 0: January 2010 – June 2010 (WHFRTC) • Phase 1: June 2010 (2wk AT, Fort McClellan, AL) • Phase 2: July 2010 – July 2011 (WHFRTC, One Drill Weekend per Month) • Phase 3: July 2011 – Aug 2011 (2wk AT, Fort McClellan, AL) • Commission Aug 2011 (Frankfort, KY)
Accelerated OCS – Preferences • Must be ready to commission at completion (see requirements later in presentation) • Must be in excellent physical condition • Prefer more extensive prior military service • WLC • NCO • Deployment • Or have a specific need for the Accelerated Option • Age • Travel Distance to the RTI • Case by Case Evaluation
Winter Accelerated • Phase 0: November 2009 – January 2010 (WHFRTC) • Phase 1: January 2010 (2wks Fort McClellan, AL) • Phase 2: February 2010 (4wks Fort McClellan, AL) • Phase 3: March 2010 (2wks Fort McClellan, AL) • Commission April 2010 (Home State)

Commission Requirements • All Waivers must be Approved • Must have 90 College hours (required to attend PH3) • If no degree, must have degree completion program • Signed Security Agreement if Secret Clearance not yet granted • Successful completion of all course requirements • Prepared to attend BOLC II & III within 24 months of commission
Course Requirements • Phase Zero • Must pass standard three event APFT within 60 days of Phase One • All Course Pre-requisites (OCS Packet) • Phase One • 5 Mile Foot March • Peer Evaluation #1 • Land Navigation (Written/Day/Night) • Training Management Exam
Course Requirements • Phase Two • Peer Evaluation #2 and #3 • Seven and Ten Mile Foot March • APFT within 60 days of Phase Three • Three Mile Formation Run • Score a 70% or better on all exams to receive a GO • At least Satisfactory on a Leadership Evaluation • Phase Three • Attempt Combat Water Survival • Attempt the Obstacle Course • LRC as a squad member and squad leader • At least Satisfactory Leadership Evaluation for FLXII
