  2. What exactly is involved in Water Purification?

  3. Stages of Filtration Pre-Filter:The Pre-Filter with its pore size of 5 microns removes all the sediments, dust and other residual particles from water. This prevents the RO membrane and other filters from damage by large particles. Sediment Filter: The Sediment Filter with its pore size of 5 microns removes turbidity, sediments and sand particles. It acts as a double protection along with Pre-Filter against large particles. Activated Carbon Filter: The Activated Carbon Filter removes chlorine, smell, odour and other organic material from water by the adsorption process. Chlorine removal is very important at this stage as chlorine damages the RO Membrane. RO Membrane: The RO (Reverse Osmosis) membrane removes the dissolved impurities, bacteria, virus and heavy metals from water thus making the water ultra-pure. The pore size of the RO membrane is 0.0005 microns, which results in the removal of more than 95% of the TDS in water.

  4. Stages of Filtration 5. UF Membrane: The UF (Ultrafiltration) membrane removes colloidal particles, bacteria and viruses, and heavy metals from water. It has a pore size of 0.005 microns. 6. TDS Controller: The TDS Controller is a valve that is useful in regulating the TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) of water as needed. 7. UV Sterilisation System: The UV Sterilisation system disinfects the water by sterilising it with a UV lamp in the tank, thus killing any residual bacteria left from the previous filtration processes. 8. Alkaline Mineralisation: The RO membrane along with the impurities also removes the good and essential minerals from water. The alkaline module remineralizes the water with alkaline essential minerals like calcium, magnesium, potassium, copper, etc. Thus, this alkaline RO filter enhances the pH of the water to 8.5, making it healthy along with pure.

  5. How to decide your water treatment method • It is very important for selecting the right treatment method for your water purifier. The selection should be based on the input water that comes to your home. • If you receive borewell, tanker or ground water supply ( TDS of more than 200 ppm) we suggest you go for RO+UV+UF based model. • If you receive municipal water supply at home ( TDS less than 200 ppm) we suggest you go for the UV+UF based model
