  1. Safety Measures Taken To Avert Accidents-Nellore Every January, "Road Safety Week" is observed across the Corporation. Three drivers from each of the 12 regions make up the 51 drivers this year. Three drivers from each of the four zones and three drivers from the state were honoured for having the longest accident-free records by receiving a souvenir, a letter of gratitude, and a monetary prize. Other outstanding drivers were also recognised at the Depot and Region levels with appropriate financial prizes in addition to these accolades. The corporation has also started a depot cash award programme to encourage depot managers and the supervisory team to have an accident-free record for at least six consecutive months.Find the Latest TDP News in our Website This initiative was taken by the former chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Shri Nara Chandrababu Naidu The company has taken a number of actions to protect the safety of both other road users and the passengers on its buses. The actions taken, such as streamlining the process for hiring drivers, providing thorough training before placing them in service, conducting regular medical exams, providing crash training programmes for drivers at regional headquarters, paying Safety Driving Allowances, and putting Safety Driving Instructors in place in all Depots, etc., have produced positive outcomes.Know More about the TDP Achievements and welfare programes in Andhra Pradesh. Induction and refresher training for bus drivers on road safety have just become required. The duties of a safety driving instructor have been refocused on teaching drivers, particularly PHB drivers, about road safety. Each driver is sensitised by the traffic supervisors before to reporting for duty, and senior drivers are reserved for special services. Breath alcohol analyzers are available at every depot bus station and inspection squad as a precaution against accidents caused by intoxicated driving by RTC drivers. Daily regular checks are conducted at the depots, and officials conduct ad hoc inspections at bus stops and while the buses are in motion. It is important to note that APSRTC has received recognition from ASRTU and the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways for having the lowest accident rate in the Group I category for the operation of mofussil services for the three years 2011–12, 2013–14, and 2014–15.
