It is still being studied for its effects on covid patients, hence, it is called an investigation. Remdesvir is being used as an investigation on certain groups of people suffering from covid-19 in hospitals. It is still being studied for its effects on covid patients, hence, it is called an investigation. There is very little information available for the safety and effectiveness of treat people with Covifor in India. Covid-19 is a disease caused by a virus called coronavirus. It is a new type of virus that was first found in the people of Wuhan, China. The first-ever case of Covid-19 was reported in December 2019. This is a person-to-person spread disease. The effects of the virus have been very mild (some with even no symptoms) to extremely severe, which further caused death. Due to the rate of its spread, it gets much more difficult for the on-duty hospitals to take care of all possible cases. As the second wave of the disease roared in India in May 2021, we saw a healthcare crisis like never before. Covifor injection uses Remdesvir which was seen to increase the recovery rate of certain groups of people. There was a huge shortage of this drug, other covid treating medicines, hospital beds, and even oxygen supply. Covifor is responsible for stopping and preventing the replication, growth, and reproduction of the antibody by inhibition of SARS-CoV-2 RNA-dependent RNA polymerase. It stops the virus from multiplying in the cells.
